Enter Duo Defense, a frantic new arcade experience that flips the traditional zombie defense genre entirely on its head.

What is Duo Defense?

Duo Defense is a mashup of classic style mechanics and stylized arcade tower defense. The premise is brilliantly simple yet intensely challenging: you control two heroes stationed on opposite sides of the battlefield. Instead of shooting at the incoming undead, your heroes survive by striking a high-velocity bouncing projectile back and forth across the screen, smashing through rows of zombies caught in the crossfire.

The Unique Angle: Two Sides, One Brain

What sets this game apart from any other defense game is its forced split-brain coordination. You aren't just defending a single wall or managing an AI partner. You are solely responsible for the defense lines on both the left and right flanks. Because the projectile accelerates with every successful hit, the game transforms into a rhythmic, high-speed test of personal focus where you are essentially playing high-stakes ping-pong against yourself.

Gameplay Overview

The main objective in Duo Defense is simple: keep the bouncing projectile in motion and protect both of your heroes from being overrun by the endless zombie waves approaching from all directions. Every time the projectile strikes a zombie, the enemy is cleared, and they occasionally drop valuable rewards like coins and power-ups.

Progression in the game is split into two major formats

The Campaign: Features 50 unique stages that gradually expand the difficulty, introducing tighter arenas and larger enemy formations.
Endless Mode: A pure test of survival where the zombie threats scale infinitely, designed to push your reaction speeds to their absolute limits.

Controls

Spacebar: Begin the battle/Launch the initial projectile
Left Arrow Key: Trigger the left hero’s attack/paddle swing
Right Arrow Key: Trigger the right hero’s attack/paddle swing

As you collect coins during your survival runs, you can unlock a massive roster of 100+ playable heroes, giving you plenty of stylistic variety to show off on the battlefield.
